This thesis investigates the fabrication and performance of aluminium matrix composites reinforced with AlCuFeMn medium-entropy alloy particles using powder metallurgy. It examines the influence of air oxidation, oxide-layer formation, and phosphate coatings on corrosion resistance while evaluating microstructural evolution, densification, hardness, and electrochemical behaviour. Advanced characterization techniques and electrochemical analyses demonstrate that controlled surface oxidation significantly enhances corrosion resistance, and medium-entropy alloy reinforcement improves mechanical performance. The research contributes to the development of lightweight, corrosion-resistant structural materials for aerospace, automotive, marine, and advanced engineering applications.
